About Mark and Jennifer
We met six years ago through an online dating service, and have been married for five years. We knew from the start that we were meant to be together, and we say it was a sign from God that we found each other the way we did. We have built a solid relationship based on love, trust, and communication, and we look foward to sharing this with our child.
From the beginning of our relationship we knew that having a family was our main goal. We would love to fill our home with children and look foward to watching them take their first steps, being called mommy and daddy for the first time, calling for us to come tuck them into bed or read a book. We would love to hear tiny feet running down the hallway on Christmas morning to see what Santa Clause brought, watching presents being opened with the look of wonder on his or her face. We know that it takes true commitment to raise a child, and Jennifer plans on being a stay-at-home mom in the early years of our childs life. With support from our family and friends in our community and church we know we will be the best parents we could possibly be.
Mark is a wonderful person who has looked forward to being a dad since we have been married. He is loving, caring, patient and kind, and he is a great listener and friend. He is always there for me when I need him and will be there for our child every step of the way. He can’t wait to love and nurture a child, and of course teach him or her to golf! Mark believes that children need freedom to grow and make their own mistakes, as well as discipline and guidance when appropriate. I have seen Mark interact with his nieces and nephews, and I know he will be a great dad.
Jennifer is the most loving and caring person I have ever met. There is no doubt in my mind that she will be a wonderful mother, and will nurture and guide our child in making healthy choices in life. Jennifer was a certified nurse’s assistant for seven years and is currently going to school to become a dog trainer. Jennifer plans on being a stay-at-home mom for the first few years so she will not miss any major milestones in our child’s life. She is looking forward to being active in our child’s education and activities. She enjoys photography and has several photo albums full of pictures of family and friends; she has a special photo album just waiting to be filled with baby photos!
We love spending time with family. Jennifer has many uncles, aunts, and cousins who live within thirty minutes of our home. We see each other almost every other weekend for birthday parties, holiday celebrations, or just to have a barbeque. Jennifer’s family will find any excuse to get together! Mark’s family members lead very active lives, but we have a great time when we gather for holidays and other occasions, and we have lunch with Mark’s dad every Sunday after church. Last but not least we have Three pets, Maddie,a cocker spaniel, Molly,a beagle mix. And a black short haired cat named B.j. all three were rescued from a shelter. Jennifer’s parents sometimes say Maddie, Molly and B.j. are their first grandchildren, but they can’t wait for us to have a baby of our own!
We live in Lakewood, California, which is only a fifteen-minute drive to beautiful downtown Long Beach and Shoreline Village where we visit attractions such as the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Queen Mary. Our quiet neighborhood is filled with children and our neighbors are very friendly and always willing to help. We live near wonderful schools, parks and a local community center where our child will be able to play, learn and grow. We have the utmost support and encouragement of our family and friends, and we look forward to filling our home with the laughter and love that only a child can bring.
