Dear Birthmother, Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know me. This must be an incredibly difficult time for you and I cannot imagine all the different emotions you are experiencing. I am truly at a loss for words. What do you say to someone you have never met, who is considering giving you the greatest gift you will ever receive?  You are making a very brave decision. Whatever your circumstance, finding yourself pregnant and deciding the right thing for you and the baby is to have the baby raised by someone else is a great act of selflessness and love.  My heart is full every time I think about becoming a mother. If you choose me as part of your baby’s future, I promise to give him or her all my heart has to offer.  My parents, brother, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, extended family and dearest friends cannot wait to welcome a new baby into our family. Family has always been a priority for my parents. They love quality time with their grandchildren and cannot wait to spend one-on-one time with their newest grandchild.  It is important for you to know I have come to this decision with lots of thought and all my heart. I have explored many different options for becoming a parent but realized adoption is the right path for me. I’ve spent the past few years changing my life preparing to be the best parent I can be. I’ve changed careers so I am able to focus on family and bought a two bedroom apartment in a wonderful neighborhood in Manhattan, preparing for a baby.  In my previous career I had the opportunity to travel, live and work in many countries around the world. Your child will have “aunts” “uncles” and “cousins” to visit around the globe. I thank you again for taking the time to get to know me and considering me to adopt your baby. I look forward to the journey we hopefully are about to start together.
